The activities of Dura Vermeer Business Development BV are aimed at the development of expertise, products and projects related to building, water and sustainable energy. The expansion of networks for the purpose of increasing knowledge and business opportunities is daily routine at Dura Vermeer Business Development. It is actively participating in various expert networks. These activities support and stimulate the realization of integrated, sustainable projects within Dura Vermeer.

The development of expertise within Dura Vermeer Business Development  has a number of areas of special attention, among which:

Products
Dura Vermeer Business Development has realized the first floating greenhouse and thus possesses the expertise and experience to develop floating 'building land’ on a large scale. In addition, it is working on the development of floating platforms and it also participated in the design and the construction of the first amphibious houses.

Projects
The long experience and the expertise in building, water and sustainable energy are being used for the initiation and concept development of projects. The role of driving force behind innovative projects in the concept development phase, as an initiator or for third parties, is part of daily routine. Part of this is to act as intermediary and ‘matchmaker’ between various parties from different markets and sectors, with which good relations have been established within the network. Think of government departments, municipal councils, district water boards, scientific and educational organizations and developers.

Dura Vermeer has an extensive network of relevant players within the government, commercial sectors and centers of expertise. Dura Vermeer Business Development  is a member of the relevant platforms (Netherlands Water Partnership, Water Research Centre Delft, Impulsteam Water Dordrecht, Programme Bureau 'Living with Water', Commission Coast South-Holland, European Network COST C22). Dura Vermeer Business Development also holds a chair at UNESCO-IHE/TUD.
In addition, Dura Vermeer Business Development maintains and develops contacts with all relevant centers of expertise in the Netherlands and abroad. From the contacts with foreign centers of expertise efforts are being made to acquire expertise which can be applied again in the Netherlands.
