| Expert system building floating constructions |
Dura Vermeer has in co-operation with Agrotechnology and Food Innovations and INTRON, developed the ‘Expertsysteem Drijvend Bouwen’ (Expert system Building Floating Constructions). This software supports designers of floating constructions during the design process. Relevant questions are asked in a structured manner, resulting in ‘custom-made’ guidelines for the design.
The user will not only be given the answer to questions whether or not it is technically and legally feasible, but it will also display the global design as well as the costs involved. As such the system has the role of an expert, and is consulted by the user. This enables users to provide their clients with optimum information related to questions on Building floating constructions.
It is possible to build for various purposes or functions on a floating body, i.e. houses, roads, greenhouses for horticulture and similar. The first building purpose worked out in the expert system are greenhouses. Additional functions for other purposes are planned.
