| FlexBase floating platforms |
A floating and flexible foundation that is erected directly on water
FlexBase is a new floating technology for building floating platforms on water. Using a patented construction technique a floating platform of EPS and concrete is built directly on water. The product is a joined development of Dura Vermeer and Unidek.
FlexBase is a further development of the construction technique that was applied for the realisation of the Floating Greenhouse Showmodel at FloraHolland in Naaldwijk. After this successful utilisation it appeared that this system was not only suitable for floating greenhouses, but also for other functions, such as housing, utility buildings, mobility, etc. This has led to a product development process which resulted in the product presentation of FlexBase on November 1, 2006 during the 'Betondag'. In the meantime, several projects are being developed, of which a number will be realised shortly.
